Sharpening & Skew Days at Barb's Barn

The instructor for both days was Kurt Hertzog

Saturday, sharpening day, covered tool angles, grinders, wheels, safety, fixtures, and cutting basics

After lunch, Kurt reviews the basics of stance, balance, rubbing the bevel, tool handling, etc.

Here he covers the scraping tools in contrast to the cutting tools

Sunday's workshop was dedicated totally to the care and use of the skew chisel

The combination of lecture, demonstration, practice, and projects seemed to work well.
