Saturday, May 1st was a beautiful day in Western NY as we get ready for a hands-on session at Barb's Barn with Jimmy Clewes

The 10 lucky attendees begin to arrive and setup their equipment for the day

Promptly at 9am, Jimmy Clewes gets the workshop started

He begins by looking over the various tools brought to the session and offering suggestions

By popular request, Jimmy explains his methods for sharpening his tools

After the sharpening lesson, he starts covering one of the projects for the day

Everyone was allowed to choose their own projects based on their individual skill levels

Randy Hodge and Dan Rogala get started on their projects

Jimmy circulated through the barn answering questions and helping as needed

Jake Debski of Turners 2 works on his square turning

Joe Fenton of the Pembroke Guild is also doing a square turning

Tony Zielinski and Kurt Hertzog are working at the center bench

Sam Ciccia is doing one of the spindle projects to start

Per the Hilburger Rule, we knock off at noon for a lunch break

After lunch, everyones back at it like Joe Fenton of the Pembroke Woodturners Guild

Jim Rupracht, also from Pembroke, is busy at the back bench
