President’s Corner
Erie County Fair is
fast approaching. At this time I would like to thank all of you who have
donated product to our “Make a Wish “fund raiser. We are always looking for
more turnings, so between now and the fair; please turn what you can to add to
our inventory. Let’s not depend on just a few turners, but let’s make this a
total club effort. We can have many ideas and more of a variety if everyone
contributes.
On this note, the
July meeting on the 10th will be held at my shop, where we will be
turning objects for the fair. If you have a mini lathe, I encourage you to
bring it. If you do not have a mini lathe and want to turn, let me know and we
will have a club lathe for your use. Please contact me if you are going to
turn, so I will know how much room I need. Also if you need wood to turn, let
me know. I can have it ready for you. We are planning to start at 7PM, but if
you are retired or not working that day and want to come earlier, contact me at
716-652-6664. I will be free any time after 1PM

Announcements
Rich Mialki wants to
remind everybody that the fair is not too far away and we are going to need
lots of product to out do what we did last year. Bring in your turnings and
we’ll store them for the fair. Also, sign up to work at the fair. See Rich or
call him (716-694-5430) if you can help out this year. We need men and women

Woodturners II need
volunteers for the demonstration part of each meeting for the upcoming year. If
you have a particular way of working, a new project, or anything related to
woodturning that might be informative for the rest of the membership please
volunteer. To provide a varied program
we need members to come forward to provide a larger pool of turners to draw
from. Please help!
The election of
Officers will be held at the October meeting.
For anyone interested in serving the club as an Officer of Woodturners
II please contact the vice president.
Without volunteers the club will not be able to fill all of the
positions.
