Pres. Ron Hudson called the meeting to order at 7:30


Treasurer, Pat Boggan, report for month of March, 2012


            The beginning balance for the month of March was $2,849.23.  The Treasurer was not present.  A complete report will be in the next newsletter.




            The meeting for April will be on the 3rd Thursday.  The school will be closed for Spring Break on our usual week.


Vice President’s Report


            Rusty and Brian will be going to the Woodworkers Symposium on March 30 – April 1.


            The session at Barb’s Barn has been cancelled.


Old Business


            Since Muriel Kummer was the previous secretary, her photo has been listed.  A photo of the new secretary will be taken and posted as soon as possible.


            There has been no information on the outcome of our grant.


New Business


            The question of what to make for the fair has come up.  Anything made out of wood would be appropriate.  If toys are made, they should be large enough not to be able to be swallowed.  Also, the use of finish should not be toxic.


            The picnic for this year will be on August 23.  President Ron will make the reservations.  Further information will follow.

            Jim HIlberger gave a wonderful demonstration on making bottle stoppers, pull chains and refrigerator magnets.  The items made during the demonstration were raffled off.  Jim has made hundreds of these items to sell at the fair for Make-a-Wish.  Thank you Jim.
