Business Items:

The Aspire Christmas Party – Mr. Renzoni reminded everyone that the date for the party is December 21st at 09:30 hours.  All members and spouses are invited to the festivities.  Gene will need some help at 9 am on the morning of the party for a little set up work.  Please let him know if you can help. Also please bring all your toys, cradles, etc. Entertainment will be provided again this year by the “Harmonicoots” doing Christmas carols for the children.

2013 Dues are payable to our Treasurer Mr. Kosmerl by January 01, 2013.  The fee is $20.00 per year for regular members.  We still have about 35 members who have not forwarded payment for the 2013 dues.  Please keep your dues up to date.

Jim Vasi reported that Ed Jolls from Rocklers Store on Transit Road forwarded some gift certificates and a couple bowl blanks for the club to raffle off at this meeting.   Also, Mr. Vasi

Is working with the people at Craft Supplies so that our club can be considered for additional promotional items of goodwill from their Sales Department.  Thank you Jim for your work on this, it is appreciated by all I’m sure.

Please take a moment and look at the attached/enclosed Benefit Notice from Brian Effinger.

It is self explanatory…

Election of Club officers will take place in January.  Please advise Steve Imerese if you are interested in the Presidents, Vice Presidents, or any position.  We need volunteers for some of these positions.

On a sad note, we lost member Joe Guppenberger the week of November 18th.  Our sympathy goes out to his family.

Show and Tell participants included:

The show and tell portion was given by Jim Vasi, Brianne Corbett, Mike Gotthelf, Richard Mialki, Brian Effinger, Jim Rupracht, Jim Schnellinger, Frank Stanko, Jim Hillburger, Lyle Foell, and Bob Ball.   Thank you all!

Club Demonstration:

There was no demonstration at this meeting.  However, we are always looking for members to do demonstrations or give us some ideas for our programs.  If you would like to do a demo for us, have any new ideas, or are just interested in learning something specific, mention it to one of the Vice President’s committee members.  I am sure that they will do their best to produce results.  The committee members are:  Jim Cunning, Paul Wilhelm, and Brian Young.

Next Meeting/Demo:

Our next meeting will be at the Maryvale High School Shop on Thursday January 3, 2013  at 1900 hours (7:00 pm.) sharp.  There is not a demo scheduled as of this writing.

The demo scheduled at the present time for February will be done by Mike Gotthelf on natural edged bowls.

I would like to take a moment to thank our members for their efforts with our functions throughout the last year, and wish you all a very Happy and Safe Holiday season from our Club officers.  We are looking forward to working together, and having another productive New Year.

Respectfully,
