WHERE IS OUR 2ND CLUB LATHE ?????
DO YOU KNOW WHERE IT IS ?????
The vacuum chuck that went with
the Lathe was sold at the meeting to member John Walkden. There was a
discussion of what to do with the lathe we have which is old but good. It was
decided to sell the lathe, hopefully for $200 and then use the chuck &
lathe sale monies plus some club money to buy a new lathe.
Andrea Gregory from Make-A-Wish was at the meeting and
introduced Alexis a recipient who’s wish was granted.
Norm Kosmerl introduced three new members Brianne Corbbett, Laura Schirle, and Dave
Camerado.
Rich Mialki proposed we listen to Ms.
Campbell of Uno’s at the next meeting.
She will explain how we members can go to Uno’s, they keep track of what
we spend and then at the end of a period of time, they will donate 15% of what
we spent to Make-A-Wish. BRING YOUR
APPETITE’S TO THE JANUARY MEETING WHERE UNO’S WILL GIVE US SAMPLES OF THE FOOD
THEY HAVE.
Rocklers donated some pen blanks for members to make
pens to be sold at the fair to benefit Make-A-Wish. See Bob Ball 741-3693 if you want some blanks.
Did you know our Kurt Hertzog was elected to the
American Association of Woodturner’s Board of Directors for a three year
term. He also will be a presenter at
the “Totally Turning” woodworking show “Showcase 2010” March 27 & 28, 2010
