Mialki introduced Andrea Gregory from Make-A-Wish who THANKED ALL for our
generous donation. They have used the monies we have given them to grant the
wishes of three children. Sabrina a 12 year old girl with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
who’s wish was granted to go to Disney and meet Cinderella. Alexis is a 2 ½ year
old girl with Medulloblastoma who’s wish was granted to go to Disney and have a
tea party with Mickey. Lastly, Sheyla is an 8 year old girl who’s wish was
granted to go to Disney and have
lunch with the princesses. Make-A-Wish normally only grants 138 wishes, but with
our help this year they have granted 160 wishes. Check for $13,238,

Jim Vasi awarded the “Hilburger Award” to Steve Imerese for his outstanding
service to the Club.
Jim Shimwell introduced Sheri from Aspire
who showed us samples of items they would like for the clients. Jim has lots of
patterns for toys and a list of
those who are making what specific items. Please let him know what you
are making at the November Meeting or contact Jim at

reported there were 35 people at the Cindy Drozda Demo
and it was a great
demo. There were 10 from Club 1, 11 each from Club 2 and Pembroke and 3 from
Dick Radel is bringing the vacuum chuck to the November
meeting that went with the Lathe. We are at a loss now of knowing who has the
lathe. PLEASE CHECK AROUND AND LET
US KNOW WHERE IT IS.

The
demo will be by Jim Vasi. Jim will
be turning a few quick and easy projects which are suitable for gifts. He will
also touch on some basic turning techniques.
