Announcements

Jim Vasi reported Elmer Baumer is at Brothers of Mercy home on Ransom Road. Elmer is currently available for visitors between 10:30 am and 8:30 pm. He is improved but is facing a long recovery.

Those who attended stated Dave Ellsworth’s presentation was remarkable. Great ideas and here’s how you can do it. Thanks to Jim Meier for all his efforts.

Jim Vasi reported that when Jed Donahue was cleaning up after last months demo, a bowl that he brought for show and tell was accidentally dropped. The club paid part of the value of the bowl or $250 to Jed.

After discussion and passing of a motion Barb Berger’s idea of color coding the three (3) lathes and tools was adopted. In the future when someone uses the “green” lathe and green tools it will be checked off vs the inventory of the “green” lathe. Tom has volunteered to assist Barb. Should other members want to help, please call Barb.

Barb Berger and assistants are scheduling a Beginner Woodturner class for Saturday October 26th, for a maximum of 12 members. Care of lathe and tool sharpening will be stressed. Call Barb at 652-4156 to sign up.
