Steve Imerese ran the meeting and introduced guests “Mike ?, Joe Mussari, &
Rich Shriber”. 50/50 raffle was won by Paul ?, . Steve noted Kurt Hertzog is one of six candidates for
director of the American Association of Woodturners. Three directors will be
elected and you can vote on-line at woodturner.org. Good luck Kurt!
Rich Mialki informed all that the Fair
this year collected $14,838 that will be donated to “Wake-A-Wish”. He thanked
all who made items, all who sold items, and everyone who helped. Steve
read a letter
from the four leaders, Jim Hilburger, Bob Ball, Gary Jones
and Rich Mialki
that also thanked everyone. Rich noted
the letter was sent to the four clubs that participated. Rich noted a raffle for Frank Stanko bowls brought
in over $400, a lot of items sold for $100 or more, pens, screw drivers, golf
ball wine stoppers were all hot items, seam rippers and refrigerator magnets
were slow sellers. AGAIN THANKS TO ALL
WHO HELPED. Make-A-Wish people will be
at the October 2, 2008 meeting as well as representatives of all four clubs,
and they will be presented with a check for the $14,838 that we collectively
earned for Make-A-Wish.
Steve Imerese is still looking for a
member to take the posi

tion of vice president
responsible for scheduling demo’s.
Barb’s Barn hands
on turning session will be September 20th, with Eric Jones and Marc Hall
Jim Hilburger made a motion to increase
the maximum membership from 80 to 90 members.
Lance Kanaby seconded it and after much discussion it was voted on &
agreed to by all present. This will give us a bigger base to draw volunteers
from and we will be able to teach/help more new woodturners.
Jim Shimwell showed all, his latest gas
truck toy and reminded us that Christmas is coming and we need to make toys for
the “Aspire Kids”. He has lots of patterns for toys for those who would like
them. Contact Jim at 875-9654
Show & Tell: Thanks

Hilburger, Lance Kanaby, Bill Perry, David Day, Dan Mohr, Ben Martinke, Steve
Imerese, Jim Schnellinger, & Jim Vasi. Thanks Again.
