This meeting was the last meeting prior to our Make-A-Wish Fair Project. After the following abbreviated business, the entire meeting was dedicated to finalization of last minute fair items.
Rich Mialki reported that John Henrich was taken ill and was admitted to the hospital. He will be moved to a rehab center this week and is recuperating at this time. I have sent a card on behalf of the Woodturners Clubs. Get well soon John, our thoughts are with you.
Mr. Ball reminded us that the Fair is scheduled for the 7th, through the 18th, of August 2013. If you have any additional items for the project you may contact one of the Fair Committee Staff, and arrangements will be made to get them to the Fair. There are still several openings for turners to demonstrate the art of turning. If you can fill a spot or two please contact Richard Mialki
Mr. Ball reported he had all the items boxed, priced, and ready to go. Set up of the shelving and the sales area will start this Saturday August 03, 0900 hours (9:00 am) sharp at the Woodcarvers Building located directly behind the Agra-Center on the Fair grounds. If you can help, arrange to be present.
On Wednesday August 7th, at 0900 hours the Fair committee will start making up the display tables. Please note: All vehicles must exit the Midway by 1100 hours (11:00), as the gates will be closed to the public until 2:00pm when the Fair officially opens.
Important: If you are a volunteer and have a last minute problem arise where you can not make your shift, Please contact Pepper Weinheimer at 716-992-3450 and he will notify one of the Fair Committee members. Pepper is also in charge of the admission and parking passes if you have any questions. Thank you Pepper for all your efforts to help us out!
