Mr. Ball reminded us that the Fair is scheduled for the 7th, through the 18th, of August 2013. We are still looking for any items, especially larger bowls, for the sales tables, Please start working on any items you wish to donate for the Make-A-Wish benefit. These items can be brought to any meetings prior to the Fair. Just a reminder, members will not be reimbursed for any items, or kits used in the items for the Fair. These are considered donations by our members who participate in this event. Thank you for understanding…
A new Fair schedule for working the tables was brought out at this months meeting. Please sign up as early as possible, so other members can do any advance planning they may have at work or elsewhere. There are quite a few shifts available, and we need the help.
Jim Vasi has a new summer hat collection and they are going fast at $10.00 each. Only 9 left.
Rich Mialki received a box of wood pieces from Northwoods service for use on Fair items. They are also running a contest on their web site to guess the weight of a burl, Check it out at www.nwfiguredwoods.com
Rich has also received more gift cards from Craft Supply. A discussion on how to handle these followed. Suggestion was to give two cards to the demonstrator, moved by Ray Bisonette and seconded with an all favorable vote.
A new sound system was displayed for all to see and vote to purchase it for about $400.00. Ray Bisonette moved to purchase and again a favorable vote was made.
As some of you are aware, Brian Effinger can no longer be available to do our club photography, we desperately need this for our postings on the website, club functions, and promotional doings. If you have a digital camera and can do a little photo work for us please contact one of the club officers or e-mail me at the address firstname.lastname@example.org

We are always looking for members to do demonstrations or give us some ideas for our programs. If you would like to do a demo for us, have any new ideas, or are just interested in learning something specific, mention it to Steve Imerese our Vice President. .
Our next meeting will be at the Maryvale High School Shop on Thursday August 01, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. There is no Demo scheduled at this meeting because the entire meeting will be dedicated to the Fair preparation and collection of last minute items. There will be refreshments for the members served at this meeting.
Steve Imerese shared the following future demo schedule:
September Jerry Nitrate – Tulips
October Annual Auction – Start collecting items now.
