Bob Ball advised that we are still looking for items for the Fair, and workers are needed to fill the open shifts for selling and turning. Mr. Ball also still has pen kits available at cost, for any members to turn pens for the sale tables. Please note, these kits are for Fair sale items only. Please contact Richard Mialki to volunteer. He is maintaining the Master Schedule for assignments. This is a group effort and we need the members to come forward and participate for the Make-A-Wish project. We still have many openings available.
“Pepper” Weinheimer Is in charge of the parking permits and entrance passes for the Fair. If you are on the schedule to work and have not received your entrance and parking tickets please contact him. There are some changes this year for parking. Your pass in the Triangle lot is only good for the day specified on the pass.
The 50/50 Club paid $25.00 and was awarded to “Lucky” Laura Schirle. (Good for you Laura.)
I am trying to contact George Woodruff for some membership information. If anyone has a phone number or current e-mail address, would you please forward it to me. Thank you.
Show and Tell participants included:
Laura Schirle, Richard Mialki, Frank Stanko, Larry Scaglione, Frank Becker, Brianne Corbett, Jim Vasi, Bob Ball, Gary Jones, Paul Wilhelm, and Ward Beaton. Great looking items. Thank you all for your participation, and an additional thanks to Steve Imerese and Frank Becker who donated their show and tell items for the Fair.
Our demo was changed on short notice because Jim Rupract could not attend. Brianne Corbett took over graciously and gave an excellent demo on acrylic pen turning. Interesting and informative as usual. Thank you Brianne, a great job!
There will be no demo at the August meeting.
Jim Rupracht will do our next demo in September.
We are always looking for members to do demonstrations. If you would like to do one for us please contact one of the Vice President’s committee members. Jim Cunning, Paul Wilhelm, or Brian Young.
Our next meeting will be at the Maryvale High School Shop on Thursday August 4th, 2011 at 1900 hours (7:00 pm.) We will be having pizza and soda while discussing plans for the Fair. Please remember the new time and parking restriction! Thank you.
The meeting was concluded at 2115 hours.
Please notify me of any changes in address or phone numbers at the e-mail shown below.
