Jim Vasi welcomed new members Art Jocoy & Joe Morellia

Jim Vasi reported Lyle Foell is still recovering from his problems. Drop a card to him when you have a chance. Everyone welcomed back Harry Vogel. He stated he fells good.

Milt Ehrenberg reported plans for the July Picnic are going well. If anyone can obtain door prizes please contact Milt @ 837-7989. The latest estimated attendee’s is 39. Please let Milt know if you can join in this great event.

Turner’s II presented a demo by Johannes Michelsen the cowboy hat turner on Saturday, April 5th. There was a workshop at Barb’s barn on Sunday and Monday, April 6th, & 7th.  A great time was had by all those who were in attendance.. See page 2 or the web site for photos.

Jim Vasi has both summer & winter hats. Summer are $8.50 and winter are $9.50. Pick yours up now, before they are gone.

Paul Ross Demo Program  will be at Pembroke High School May 17th, 2003, 9 am to 4 pm. Call Jim Meier at 585-343-8752 or Lance Kanaby at 716-316-3969 for tickets. $10.00 for PWG members $15 for non-members.

Show & Tell

Frank Stanko displayed some plates from the crotch of trees. He also had some bowls from spaled wood.

Bob Ball had a great black bowl.

Jim Vasi brought in a nice plate.

Kurt Hertzog shared a variety of bowl from large to small.

Frank Stanko demonstrated his microwave technique of drying green wood for turning to 10 – 12%. Thanks for sharing Frank!

Jim Vasi opened and showed us his box of wood tricks he has accumulated over the years he spent teaching. WOW!

Jim Vasi, Jim Hilburger, and Frank Stanko made up the panel of experts for “STUMP THE EXPERTS”  Well it was no surprise, but they were not stumped. Thank you experts!
