Jim Hilburger reported to us that Richard Mialki was stricken ill a few days after our last meeting and was hospitalized. Our best wishes for you Richard, and please get well soon!
Bob Ball asked us to start thinking about preparing for the fair items. The fair is just a few short months away, and it creeps up fast on us. Volunteers are always needed, if you are a new member, or a regular member who has never participated, and are interested in helping out please let one of the club officers know at the next meeting or by e-mail. (The club officers are noted on your membership address list.)
After the business portion of the meeting John Walkden informed us that the Shrine Circus will be at the Erie County Fairgrounds March 15th, through the 18th. Tickets and information can be found at the Shrine Temple, 1598 Southwestern Blvd. Buffalo, New York.
Show and Tell participants included:
A great show and tell portion was done by Jim Hilburger, Brianne Corbett, Ray Bisonette, Jim Vasi, Bob Ball, Marwin Feldman, Eugen Schlaak, and Brian Effinger. Beautiful items were on display for us.
Our Demo was done by Brianne Corbett, who showed us the steps for making pendant jewelry. Good job Brianne, and thank you.
We are always looking for members to do demonstrations or give us some ideas for our programs. If you would like to do a demo for us, have any new ideas, or are just interested in learning something specific, mention it to one of the Vice President’s committee members. I am sure that they will do their best to produce results. The committee members are: Jim Cunning, Paul Wilhelm, and Brian Young.
Our next meeting will be at the Maryvale High School Shop on Thursday April 05, 2012 at 1900 hours (7:00 pm.) sharp. Jim Cunning advised me that the demo will be presented by Ray Bisonette and a panel of several other members who will show us how to display and sell your turned items. This should be informative and interesting.
The May demo is tentatively scheduled to be Brian Effinger on how to make a chattering tool for applying designs to wood. More detail will be in the next newsletter.
This meeting was concluded at 2106 hours (9:06pm).
Address List Changes/updates.:
