Our club will co-host John Jordan this fall for two days of demonstrations. John will demo at the Pembroke High School on Saturday and Sunday, October 14th and 15th. Both days presentations will be different. Tickets will cost $20 for either day or $35 for a two day ticket. Tickets and additional information will be available at the April meeting.Raffle donations are still needed.

WNY Woodturners 2 will host 2 days of hands-on workshops with Jimmy Clewes at Barbís Barn Saturday May 6th & Sunday May 7th. Jim is an excellent teacher for skill levels from the very beginner to advanced. Cost is $50 per day and the workshop is filling up now. Contact Jake Debski @ vpresident2@wnywoodturners.com or by phone at (585) 937-7644 for reservations.

The Erie County Fair will be held from Wednesday, August 9th through Sunday, August 20th. The Turners 1 and Turners 2 will hold their Make-A-Wish charity fundraiser at the fair. Put the dates on your calendar so you can participate. We'll be in our usual spot on the porch of the Woodcarvers building. You can lend a hand by making items ahead of the fair as well as "working the booth" at the event. You can make items now and add them to the stock available for the fair. Al Schultz is collecting fair sale turnings at the Turners 1 meetings and Jake Debski is doing the same at the Turners 2 meetings. Spend a few minutes making things  and dropping them off now so there isn't a mad scramble just before or during the event. For the last couple of years, we've raised over $6000 each year for the Western NY chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. You can see photos of the event over the years by visiting the Other Event Photos section on the web site.

Show & Tell:Bob Ball, Frank Stanko, Jim Vasi , Omar Roszel, Kurt Hertzog, & Don Hoffmann all brought items they turned. Thanks for sharing.

Demo:Sam Ciccia gave a very interesting and through demo on making candlestick holders. ††Great job Sam.
