The club has voted to make Rod Genrich an Honorary Member and thanks him for all the years he has sent out the newsletter. He continues in this capacity. Jim received a grateful call from Mrs. Baumer as Elmer was thankful to be an honorary member. Ed Jolls also sent a thank you note.
Jim Vasi expressed concern for members who have had recent health problems. Lyle Foell has had a stroke, cards would be great.

Jim Shimwell reported the UCP children have painted the snow men we donated in December. Thank you, snowmen makers.

Turner’s II will host a demo & workshop by Johannes Michelsen the cowboy hat turner. Saturday, April 5th, demo at Charles Lindbergh Elementary School in Kenmore, $20 per ticket, workshop at Barb’s barn Sunday and Monday , April 6th, & 7th,$75 per ticket. Nora Drogi has been with Rockler Woodworking for 9 years and shared her expertise in choosing a finish for different types of woods. She spent time explaining the importance of preparing the wood and brought an assortment of wood with different finishes on them. She reminded everyone that sandpaper is a tool and use it. If your at Rockler and would like her opinion on your special project, do not hesitate to ask.
