Old Business Items:
Richard reported the October 4, 2014 demo with Joe Ruminski is still in the planning stages and he will update us as the plans are finalized. Please note: My previous Newsletter advised that the demo was going to be given by Patrick Marren in error. The correct demonstrator will be Joe Ruminski.
If any member does not have a name tag, please see Norm Kosmerl and he will prepare one for you. These tags should be worn at all the meetings so new and old members can identify our club officers and other members.
There are still some outstanding dues to be collected for 2014. The fee this year is only $10.00 and is payable to our Treasurer Mr. Kosmerl. Please keep your dues up to date as they are one of our few sources of income. Thank you…
DVD’s Are available from Bob Ball at each meeting. If you are interested please see him, for the details on the loan program. The list of DVD’s is available on our Website. If you are interested in any of the VHS tapes that were copied to DVD’s please contact Mr. Ball.
New Business Items:
Michael Holley, Director of Development at Aspire of Western New York, presented a framed picture taken at their Christmas Party. Mr. Holley thanked all the club members and went on to describe the reconstruction of the new learning center. They are hoping to have the building done by next year. Mr. Holley also mentioned that there will be a special place in the new building to display all the Club Christmas party photos.
Eddie Blowers has been approached by the ECC Festival of Lights Committee to see if we would be interested in demonstrating turning for the Festival. This could be a new addition to their regular program. Our members seemed interested, but we will need additional information. Eddie will keep us updated on this.
Richard announced that there will be 2 gift certificates for the show and tell. One from Rockler’s and one from Craft Supply.
Show and Tell participants included:
The show and tell portion was given by: Brianne Corbett, Joe Wiesnet, Richard Mialki, Larry Scaglione, Michael Gotthelf, Nick Vespa, Steve Imerese, Jim Schnellinger, and Gene Renzoni. A nice variety of turnings were displayed.
The demo this month was given by Brianne Corbett who demonstrated Air Brushing using the ring holders she turned at last months demo. Great demo Bree, thank you!
Our next meeting will be at the Maryvale High School Shop on Thursday, March 06, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. The following demo is scheduled:
March Joe Wiesnet on coring
Steve Imerese also has scheduled:

We are always looking for members to do demonstrations or give us some ideas for our programs. If you would like to do a demo for us, have any new ideas, or are just interested in learning something specific, mention it to our Vice President, Steve Imerese or send me an e-mail and I will forward it to him for handling. The meeting was concluded at 2100 hours.
I would like to thank Gene Renzoni for taking the minutes of this meeting for me in my absence. Thanks Gene you did a great job!
