The turners 1 club, will co-host this fall’s John Jordan Two Day
Demonstration at the
The Erie County Fair was a great
success. THANKS TO ALL WHO PARTICIPATED IN MAKING ITEMS OR BEING AT THE FAIR. A
TOTAL OF $7,756.50 WAS COLLECTED AND IT WILL BE DISTRIBUTED TO MAKE-A-WISH
CHARITY. Special thanks to the co-organizers Al Schultz, Steve Imerese,
and Rich Mialki. And Thank You to all of the spouses and friends who also
helped make this year such a resounding success. Please note there are very few items left to
sell next year, so Al reminds us all to start early making your special items.
On October 21 & 22 there will be a
“KIDS DAY TURNING SEMINAR” at Barb’s
Barn turning facilities. Bob Rosand will be teaching and the
child will be turning. Each of the students will be working with the help of a
mentor. The cost per child is $10.00 and the club will contribute an additional
$25.00 per child. Hours are from 9 am to
noon and 1 pm to 3 pm each day. Mentors
and children should bring their own lunches. The three other turning clubs in
the area have been asked to be involved.
Christmas will be here before we know it. TOYS ARE NEEDED FOR THE CEREBRAL PALSY KIDS.
The Turners 1 October meeting will be held on Thursday, October 5th. It will be our annual auction. Bring items you can donate to the club and they'll be auctioned off with the monies going to the club treasury. Bring along your cash to pick up those real bargains.
