Used to being self-sufficient on the road, Bob sets up his sanding system |
After sanding the twig for the handle, he carefully drills it for attachment |
A piece of Blackwood is roughed down |
Once turned to the right diameter, the twig can be glued onto the Blackwood |

A little bit better look at the twig as glued on |
Now the Blackwood is finial shaped and sized for the hole in the box top |
Sized properly, it is parted off and attached to the boxes' lid |
The finished lidded box, complete with the lid pull |

After a short break, Bob setup for turning a sphere |
He starts between centers and roughs it down to round |
Once he has achieved the planned od, he begins to round the "ends" of the sphere |
It quickly takes on the shape of a sphere |
