Used to being self-sufficient on the road, Bob sets up his sanding system

After sanding the twig for the handle, he carefully drills it for attachment

A piece of Blackwood is roughed down

Once turned to the right diameter, the twig can be glued onto the Blackwood

A little bit better look at the twig as glued on

Now the Blackwood is finial shaped and sized for the hole in the box top

Sized properly, it is parted off and attached to the boxes' lid

The finished lidded box, complete with the lid pull

A look at the finished item ...

and a peek inside the box

During the break, Bob fielded additional questions from many of the group

Others reviewed the show and tell items or voted on the donated items for the school

After a short break, Bob setup for turning a sphere

He starts between centers and roughs it down to round

Once he has achieved the planned od, he begins to round the "ends" of the sphere

It quickly takes on the shape of a sphere
