The 2002 AAW Conference was held at the Rhode Island Convention Center |
The convention center is in the heart of downtown Providence |
The convention center is relatively new and very well setup for the event |
The AAW hangs out it's shingle |

With the weather being extremely hot, the convention center was very comfortable |
Thursday, before registration, the rotations board goes up |
Some of the folks getting ready for the registration booths to open |
Meanwhile, the enormous amount of work setting up continues |

Each room was set up with a lathe, pa system, video system, and seats |
There was even a lathe setup in the lobby for demonstrations |
The downtown district has many microbrew houses |
The Trinity brew house was almost across the street |

The air was cool, the beer cold, and the food hot. |
As usual, there was a very good vendor show |
Vendors, wood merchants, equipment manufacturers, tool makers, and more |
So much wood and so little time |
