Turners 1 April 2005 Meeting

Before the meeting, some members look over the show and tell table

President Jim Vasi gets the meeting started

There was a great turnout for the meeting with about 45 members attending

After the business portion of the meeting, Jim Schnellinger starts off show and tell

Mike Hachey shows his and Debbie's latest turnings

Rich Mialki has been turning multi center parts and some bowls

One of our newer members, Jim Rupracht has been doing carving and pyrography on his turnings

During the short coffee break, Steve Imerese gets his demonstration set up

Steve explains his methods for planning segmented works

Once he has it planned, he gets ready to cut and glue his pieces into rings

To achieve the accuracy he desires, Steve uses an angle gauge to make his component pieces

Rather than trust the pin detent angle settings, Steve uses his angle gauge to set his saw precisely
