Jim Shimwell has been working on snowmen for the charity fundraiser

Kurt Hertzog shows his flower shaped pepppermill and some of the pierced egg ornaments for the demo

After the coffee break, Kurt gets the evenings demonstration underway

The flower shaped peppermill was done with a simple sanding drum in a Dremel tool

Kurt shows how the index marks were located and then hand sanded to create the flutes

A review of the available Foredom and Fordom style tools

Kurt demonstrates how the power carving head works in the Foredom tool

He explains how he empties, pierces, and airbrush paints eggshells to make ornaments

Kurt demostrates his high speed turbine as he pierces a chicken egg shell

The sea urchin shells pierce with a high speed dental drill just like egg shells

Kurt winds up the demo answering any last minute questions regarding carving and piercing turnings
