As in years past, the WNYWoodturners were invited to the Fisher Price Toy Museum to do a turning demo

There are a variety of turned items that are sold for the benefit of charitable organizations

This year Barb Berger and Jim Hilburger did the honors with Barb tending the sales ...

and Jim turning and entertaining the museum visitors

Of course Santa and the elves were also at the museum

Jim turns, decorates, and colors a top in less than 2 minutes

It is a thrill for the old and the young alike to watch Jim

Even Santa is amazed at the show of woodturning prowess

Jim shows Santa how he paints the tops

The area set aside for the demo is right outside the gift shop

While Santa works the crowd as they pass through ...

Jim does the same

It's quite a show with Jim entertaining the youngsters with his turning and interaction with the crowd

Jim takes a moment to explain the workings of a "snapper"

This year, the turning demo was only for one day on Saturday, December 4th

Regardless, the demo was a big success for the visitors and the charity
